Anderson Rocha - Artificial Intelligence to fight disinformation and to promote health and wellbeing

In this talk, we will discuss Artificial Intelligence in two critical
domains: digital integrity and human well-being. Through the Horus Project,
we research AI techniques to detect and mitigate disinformation, including
fake news, deepfakes, digital spoofing, and scientific fraud. By leveraging
multimodal analysis, explainable AI, and synthetic media forensics, we aim
to enhance public trust in information ecosystems. In parallel, our Viva Bem
initiative applies AI to promote physical and mental health, focusing on
early detection and prevention of conditions such as stress, anxiety,
hypertension, diabetes, and sedentarism. Together, these efforts illustrate
how responsible AI can both safeguard truth and foster healthier societies.
